曼波魚

曼波魚，其學名叫「翻車魚」。隨著洋流四處迴游出現在世界各地，因牠奇特的外型，故有不同的稱呼，每年五月期間在台灣東岸大量出現，台灣漁民稱曼波魚又有一個有趣的名字叫「魚粿」，因當漁民抓起牠時那圓圓柔軟的身軀，像極了一大塊攤在竹篩上的紅龜粿。曼波魚身軀直徑平均超過一百五十公分，體重約一百五十多公斤，一隻的市價超過一萬多元。曼波魚肉白色，初見者會以為是肥肉，據稱其肉質很Q，有點像花枝，其眼睛是美餚非常有吃，故特予取下單獨賣給老饕。(曼波眼珠為筆者攝於2009年5月6日於南方澳漁港)
